Murderers among 18 held in Lahore search operations

LAHORE: At least 18 outlaws including murderers were arrested during search operations in different areas of the provincial capital on Wednesday.

The Model Town police conducted search operations against criminals in Ghousia Colony, Kahna and Gajju Matta areas during which it checked the CNICs and other documents of the residents. During operations, 12 people were apprehended for violating Punjab Rented Premises Act 2009.

Meanwhile, six culprits involved in murders and identified as Rubi, Imran, Shehbaz, Ahmad, Chand and Imran were also apprehended. The culprits had killed Abdul Majeed and Ahmad at Ravi Road and Arslan and Arif in the Shad Bagh locality.

Separate cases were registered against the detainees at concerned police stations and investigation was in progress.
