FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that money ‘might have been involved’ in awarding party tickets for the 2013 elections, reported a local English daily.
However, the PTI chief said that merit will be of paramount importance in awarding party tickets for the upcoming elections in 2018.
He further said that all the claims made by the government about economic revival are just another way to gain political benefits in the upcoming general elections. He said that businessmen are not investing in the industrial sector anymore, because of widespread corruption in Pakistan.
He was addressing the launching ceremony of PTI’s Textile Policy for 2018-23.
Imran said that the basic aim of PTI was to revive the national economy in order to reduce the sufferings of the common people and to make full use of the available resources in order to help people.
