KOHAT: Kohat District Police Officer (DPO) Majeed Khan Marwat on Thursday rewarded a police team for recovering a first-year female student from the custody of abductors in Shakardara tehsil of Kohat.
According to police, on January 8, a female student was abducted by Umer Nawaz and Shayan while she was headed towards her educational institution.
Shakardara station house officer, after receiving information about the abduction, constituted a team of six policemen who chased the vehicle of the abductors and managed to arrest both the abductors and the kidnapped girl.
As a reward of their timely and successful action against the abductors, SHO Muhammad Afzal Awan, and Constables Yasir, Jamshid, Saqib, Arshid, Muzafar Shah and Usman were given cash awards and certificates by Kohat DPO Majeed Marwat at his office.
On the occasion, the DPO said that speedy recovery of the abducted girl was ensured due to the valiant effort of the police team.
