QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo on Friday announced laptop scheme and a residential colony project for the journalists of Quetta.
Addressing a press conference held at the end of an open court, he said that journalists would get laptops in a few weeks and a residential colony project would be devised soon.
He said that the Quetta Safe City Project would be implemented within a week, adding that the IGP had been directed to recruit and deploy police officers on merit only.
Bizenjo said, “I have met heads of all the security forces and directed them not to make any transfer under political influence.”
The chief minister said that the court was organised today to understand the problems being faced by the people.”
Receiving applications from the unemployed youth, the CM said the vacant posts in government departments would be filled on merit.
He said the present government has also taken notice of corrupt practices at various check posts of the province and added that strict action would be taken against security personnel involved in such activities. Restoration of peace and security in the province was the top priority of the provincial government, he said.
Balochistan ministers Ghulam Dastagher Badeni, Prince Ahmad Ali, MPAs Sardar Saleh Bhotani and Syed Aslam Shah were also present on the occasion.
