LAHORE – After Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) made it clear that party chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Asif Ali Zardari don’t want to share the same space, Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chairman Tahir-ul-Qadri has rented a special two-bedroom container, The Dependent has learnt.
Qadri, who is spearheading protests against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led Punjab government, and has been joined by Khan and Zardari, has been preoccupied with keeping both of them happy.
“More than the dharna it is keeping these two happy that has been the focus of Qadri saab’s attention,” a close aide told The Dependent. “This is why the Mall Road rally hasn’t quite been as big a successive and we were aiming for.”
The images and videos of the container, available exclusively with The Dependent, show the two luxurious bedrooms that are equipped with all the political necessities.
Furthermore, the images clearly show a connecting door and a shared bathroom between the two bedrooms.
PAT insiders have further revealed that while the container doesn’t seem to lack anything Qadri himself has been regretting the decision.
“Now there are three leaders and two bedrooms. It’s not an easy choice for Qadri saab,” said member of the PAT chief’s entourage.
