KARACHI: Workers of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi chapter along with members of the civil society on Friday held a protest demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC) against the murder of minor girl Zainab in the Kasur district.

A large number of people including women, children and youth attended the demonstration and demanded from the Punjab government to arrest the culprit as soon as possible.

The protest was led by PPP MPA Saeed Ghani, Javed Nagori, Nadia Gabol and Waqar Mehdi.

Saeed Ghani said that the Punjab government has failed to arrest the culprits and is just criticising its political opponents.

Separately, a group of woman activists also held a protest and strongly condemned the murder of Zainab.

Candles were lit in memory of the minor.
