ISLAMABAD: Addressing the parliament on Thursday, opposition leader Khursheed Shah said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif wants to destroy the credibility of state institutions.
While saying that Nawaz’s ideology that aims to weaken the state institutions is enunciated in his speeches, Shah remarked that the former prime minister’s aggressive attitude will only create chaos in the country.
Speaking of Kasur’s brutal murder after rape case of a minor, Shah said that the tragic incident was a proof of the Punjab government’s failure.
“This was not the first incident but a continuation of the past,” said Shah.
The opposition leader added that if an SP could be suspended after the death of a peacock in Raiwind, it was time for CM Shehbaz to resign from his post himself.
He also condemned the firing by police personnel in Kasur in which three people were killed and six others were injured during furious protests on Wednesday against the gruesome rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl.
