LAHORE: Provincial minister for women development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din has condemned the murder of eight-year-old Zainab in the strongest words, and added that a strict legal action will be taken against the culprits involved in the atrocious incident.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, she said that criminals involved in the tragedy are not humans but are savage beasts who have committed the most horrible crime against humanity. She added that the Punjab government is pursuing the policy of protecting every child as they are our future.
She also said that the Punjab chief minister has taken a strict notice of the incident and has issued directions to the police to arrest the culprits without any delay. She also extended her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and said that the Punjab government fully shares their grief.
Minister for human rights and minorities affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu also condemned the murder of the minor in Kasur and said that the culprits will be punished according to law. He said that justice will be provided to the affected family at any cost.
The provincial minister also said that the incident is extremely painful. Action will be taken against the police officers who showed negligence. He has appealed to the people of Kasur to stay peaceful and cooperate with the security agencies while not taking the law into their own hands.
