ISLAMABAD: The police on Friday arrested 27 suspects besides impounding 15 bikes lacking documents during a search operation in various areas of Khanna, a police spokesman told the media.
The officials of Islamabad police conducted a search operation under the supervision of the superintendent of the police. The search operation was also partaken by police commandos, lady commandos and the staff of the bomb disposal squad.
They arrested 27 suspects besides recovering 200 grams of hashish, one 12 bore gun along with ammunition and also impounded 15 bikes that were missing legal documents.
Islamabad Police Senior Superintendent Operations, Sajid Kiani said that the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance was to ensure foolproof security in the city and that he had further directed all SHOs to continue with the routine.
Kiani appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform the police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
