FAISALABAD: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Saturday claimed to have killed four alleged terrorists during an encounter in Nishatabad area of Faisalabad.
According to a CTD spokesman, the CTD team signaled a vehicle to stop, on which the passengers started firing at the team. During the shootout, four militants affiliated with the banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, were killed on the spot while three of their accomplices managed to flee during the shootout.
The CTD officials claimed to have recovered weapons, three hand grenades and explosives from the spot.
