LAHORE: At least eight suspects were taken into custody during a joint search operation conducted by police, Rangers and intelligence agencies personnel in different parts of Lahore on Tuesday according to a private media channel.
According to reports, the search operation was carried out in Nawankot, Sherakot and Muslim Town areas of the city. The law enforcement agencies checked hostels, hotels and guest houses, flats and bus stands situated in these areas. House-to-house search was also conducted at some places.
The law enforcement agencies also used a biometric device for the identification of the residents and arrested eight suspects who failed to provide any identification document.
