LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government has promoted a new trend of completing development projects with transparency and high-standards and the resources amounting to billions of rupees have been saved from the development schemes.
Talking to a delegation of PML-N members in London, the chief minister showed his satisfaction on the spread a network of development projects during the last four years of PML-N’s government and claimed that a large number of the people were benefiting from the mega projects.
He further stated that as a result of successful policies of the government, the country has taken off on the road to development and prosperity. China has made a gigantic investment of more than 60 billion dollars in Pakistan under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and this has opened new avenues of prosperity in the country.
Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against corruption by the government adding that no allegation of any corruption has been levelled during the development project’s completion. He stated that international agencies have also acknowledged the rising trend of transparency in Pakistan.
The chief minister concluded that the country is moving from darkness to lights and this has made the political opponents of PML-N unnerved. He said the politics of deceit, chaos and baseless allegations have to be curbed to move the country on the road to prosperity and that the state of Pakistan belongs to everyone.
Selfless service to the people and bringing qualitative improvement in the lives of the indigent strata is our agenda and midnight oil has been burnt to complete this mission of public service, remarked the chief minister.
