Lahore smog gets own show on Bol TV

Lahore’s winter smog is the latest in the ever-growing list of celebrities that have their own political talk show on Bol TV. “It is a really big deal, we know that there were a number of news outlets that were in talk with the smog but finally, it was Bol that clinched the deal,” said The Tube, who writes the Media Watch column at Pakistan Today.

“I think it’s a pretty big deal.” “Yes, we get it that the smog has its share of haters,” said Saaghar Ilyaas, Director Programming at Bol News. “But we feel that those are just haters and that the smog has the sort of personality which might be hated but has the charisma to win over detractors, like we have seen in the case of Amir Liaquat.”

“And let us not forget that the majority of the smog’s haters are concentrated in Lahore, leaving the rest of audience as hostile to it as the Lahoris,” he added. In its first show, the smog said that soon it will be able to tell the nation the truth about the PML(N), in whose very nerve centre it resides. “Stay tuned.”
