LAHORE: The Lahore Police have made foolproof security arrangmeents for the third and final Twenty20 International (T20I) between Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled to be held at Gaddafi Stadium here on October 29.
Operations SSP Muntazar Mehdi said this while presiding over a meeting to review security arrangements for the T20 match, held in his office here on Wednesday. All divisional SPs besides Headquarters SP Atif Nazir and Mobiles SP Faisal Shahzad attended the meeting.
The SSP said that a heavy contingent of police would be deployed at all entry and exit gates of the stadium. He said that all security arrangements for the cricket match would be supervised through aerial monitoring and CCTV cameras.
He added that a comprehensive security plan had been devised for the protection of viewers of cricket and parking, while shuttle service would also be made available to them.
The SSP further said that search operation would be conducted in the provincial capital on a daily basis till October 29. Snap checking would also be carried out in various places of the city, he added.
