KP CM orders speedy completion of NLC projects

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak has directed for the speedy completion of schemes executed through National Logistic Cell (NLC) and has directed the KP government to provide timely technical support to the NLC.

He has also directed to ensure that NLC properly follows the timeline already agreed between the provincial government and NLC.

He said this while presiding a high-level meeting at Peshawar CM Secretariat that focused on different development schemes initiated through NLC in Mardan, Peshawar and Nowshera. MPA Zahid Durrani, officials of local government and higher education and representatives of NLC attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed about the ongoing construction and rehabilitation work at Mardan’s Sheikh Maltoon Town that would cost Rs337.12 million and would be completed within a year. 61 per cent progress on the sewerage line has been achieved, the meeting was informed.

Khattak directed to remove all the bottlenecks hindering the process of rehabilitating infrastructure.  He also directed to start work on the Pabbi Service Road before November 15 and warned that quality of work should be ensured at all costs.

The meeting was also informed about the pace of progress on the 14km-long Charsadda Ring Road. The chief minister directed the deputy commissioner to clear the site of Pir Zakori Bridge and asked to prepare the map of the bridge and hand it over to NLC.
