Mashal murder case: Court postpones verdict on bail applications till Oct 23

HARIPUR: Anti-terrorism court judge Fazal Subhan Khan on Friday postponed the decision on the bail application of 25 accused in Mashal Khan murder case, till October 23.

Earlier, the pleaders submitted prayers for the bail of the accused, on which the decision was reserved till October 20. However, when the pleaders appeared in the special court on Friday, the judge said that the decision would be announced on October 23.

It is worth mentioning here that four nominated accused in the Mashal Khan murder case were still absconders.

Till the 9th hearing, a total of 37 witnesses have recorded their statements, including public prosecutors, whereas further recording of statement by the witnesses continues.

Meanwhile, in Haripur Central Jail, the trial courtroom hearing continues and the next hearing will be held on October 25.

Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) indicted 57 accused on September 19.
