Four smugglers among seven nabbed by Rangers

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Monday claimed to have arrested seven alleged criminals, including four smugglers, in different targeted raids in the metropolis.

A statement issued by Rangers’ spokesperson said that the Rangers conducted a targeted raid in Gadap town area and detained four smugglers named Muhammad Qayyum, Naveed Iqbal, Ahsan Ali and Aslam. They were allegedly involved in smuggling of Iranian diesel.

Separately, the paramilitary force carried out a raid in Baghdadi area and apprehended two drug peddlers, namely Naqibullah and Abdullah. The accused were stated to be involved in drug peddling, the Rangers said. A Rangers party also arrested an accused named Ismail Khan from Shershah area.

They also claimed to have recovered weapons, drugs and contraband from their possession.
