ISLAMABAD –
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has lashed out at his party members, including Prime Minsiter Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, for suggesting that their houses need to be cleaned.
Issuing his remarks from the capital, Nisar said the statements given by individuals ‘as high as’ government officials, were embarrassing.
“I won’t let anyone clear my bathroom,” Nisar said while talking to the media. “Or my backyard, lawn, or any deep locations in the strategic part of my kitchen or indeed the volatile areas on my terrace,” he added.
While refusing to comment on whether or not he would take part in the cleaning act himself, Nisar said the party and the federal government should address shortcomings without embarrassing anyone.
“We support the neighbour’s narrative by admitting that the terrace isn’t well kept, or that there are insects in the backyard,” he claimed.
The former interior minister went on to complain that such remarks also weaken Pakistan’s stance in the community’s next kitty party, especially when committees are being collected.
“We are accepting what Chacha Mooda and Guddi Aunty used to say, but did they confess to anything like that?” he asked.
Nisar reiterated in front of the media that everything necessary has been flushed and there’s no gutter within the boundaries of his residence
