KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday returned the passport of former Federal Minister Dr Asim Hussain after the Supreme Court (SC) allowed him to travel abroad for treatment.
The SC had last month ordered to remove the name of Dr Asim from the Exit Control List (ECL) for one month. The apex court had also ordered the SHC to return his passport as it allowed the former petroleum minister to fly out of the country for medical treatment.
The apex court had ordered Asim to deposit a surety bond of Rs 6 million and said that NAB’s treatment of the former federal minister compared to other suspects was different.
