— Tariq Nazir says America always ignores Pakistan’s sacrifices in war against terrorism

On the call of Federation of Trade Association (FTA), comprising of 27 different organisations, a rally was taken out on Monday against the United States (US) President Donald Trump’s recent anti-Pakistan statements.

The rally, led by FTA’s President Tariq Nazir Sheikh and Chairman Anwar Ali Shaikh, started from Pakistan Chowk. A large number of traders, citizens, students, civil society members and elected representatives took part in the rally. They were holding Pakistan flags in their hands and chanting slogans against the US.

The participants also carried black flags in their hands as a sign of protest. The shopkeepers showered rose petals on the participants when the rally passed in front of their shops. Other small rallies also merged in the big rally, which were taken out from various localities including Nazar Muhalla, Sachal Colony, Allahabad, Karmaan Bagh, Resham Galli, Anaj Mandi and Shahi Bazaar.

When the rally reached at Jinnah Bagh roundabout, it converted into a big gathering where Nazir, while addressing the participants, said that America had always ignored the sacrifices rendered by the people of Pakistan in war against terrorism and it had been supporting the biggest terrorist India.

He said that America itself was the biggest terrorist of the world as it had killed many people around the world on one or the other pretext. He said that America had bad intentions, adding that with India, it was committing terrorist acts in Pakistan.

The trade leader said that Donald Trump had also closed his eyes on the atrocities and massive human rights violations being committed by India against Kashmiri people. He said that thousands of army men, policemen and people in Pakistan had been martyred in the war on terror which Trump could not see. He demanded that Trump should withdraw his statements against Pakistan or else, he added, “Pakistani people will be forced to widen the protests against him.”
