More rains likely in parts of country

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Thursday said monsoon currents are penetrating southern parts of the country.

A shallow westerly wave is affecting central and upper parts of the country and likely to persist during the next few days.

Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate upper parts of the country on Friday, the PMD said.

Rain-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls is expected at scattered places in Sindh, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Sahiwal and D.G. Khan divisions.
