Two volunteers of the Amn Committee on Wednesday were killed in a roadside remote-controlled bomb blast in Khyber, a private news channel reported.
A remote-controlled bomb was installed at a roadside in Zakakhel area of Khyber close to a checkpost of Amn Committee. The bomb detonated with a loud explosion, subsequently killing two Amn Committee volunteers.
Security personnel cordoned off the area after the explosion and launched an investigation.
Last week, nine people, including three children, lost their lives in a blast targeting house of a tribal elder in the north-western Khyber tribal region.
No group has claimed responsibility for the event as yet.
