Promotion cases of 227 officers delayed due to Panama case

The promotion of hundreds of top officials has been delayed due to hearing of Panama case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court.

According to details, a meeting of the Departmental Selection Board (DSB) was convened on Monday by the Establishment Division regarding promotion of 227 officers. The Establishment Division secretary had convened the meeting which was later postponed due to uncertain national situation.

The promotion cases related to police, secret service, information group, ex-cadre came under discussion in the meeting.
