KARACHI: The weather turned pleasant in Karachi after various parts of the city including Shahrah-e-Faisal, Federal B. Area, Malir, and surroundings experienced light showers throughout the night.
The overnight rain caused several roads across the city to flood.
The Met office has forecasted light drizzle to continue for next 24 hours, although chances of heavy rain in Karachi are minimal.
Moreover, Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted dust-thunderstorm and light showers with gusty winds at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Dera Ismail Khan, Sahiwal, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Light rain is predicted in some areas of Sindh and Balochistan provinces. However, heavy rain is likely in certain areas of northern Pakistan as well as Islamabad itself.
The expectation for Tuesday through Thursday remains of light showers in various localities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, and southern Punjab.
Rivers and canals in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Islamabad, alongside some areas of KP and Kashmir, are predicted to overflow due to the monsoon rains.
Consequently, this is expected to flood the low-lying areas of Sindh and Punjab, as well as some parts of Balochistan.
There is also a risk of landslides in Malakand, the Hazara division, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
At least have the courtesy to post relevant photo. I am not sure what city it is but nobody wears winter clothing in this month in Karachi!!
