Parliamentarians rue CDA’s indifference towards Islamabad
The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Government Assurances during a meeting on Wednesday showed its apprehension that once-beautiful Islamabad is likely to turn into the ugliest capital of the world due to a poor performance of the Capital Development Authority.
The parliamentarians also observed that the CDA is not serious to develop Sector E-12; it was informed that over thirty years have been passed but the CDA has still failed to develop Sector E-12 of Islamabad. The committee directed the Ministry of Water and Power to improve the billing system and come up with a mechanism to deliver the bills at least two weeks before the due date.
