ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Saeed Ghani has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi is trying to be in the limelight by the news of Raymond Davis book which has been published recently. He said that there was never a question of giving Raymond Davis diplomatic immunity.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Senator Saeed Ghani said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is claiming fictitious events and there is not an iota of truth in his claims. He said that it was a huge shock for Qureshi when he was not made foreign minister in a cabinet reshuffle at that time.
Senator Ghani also said that the then government and all relevant institutions were on the same page regarding Raymond Davis case. He asked why suo-moto action was not taken by the judiciary when at that time suo-moto notice was taken even on the price of snacks.
The PPP senator advised Qureshi to come out of his imaginary world and avoid talking about things which never existed or happened.
