LAHORE: PTI senior leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that there is no alternative to democracy in this country. He said this while addressing party workers in his office on Friday.
“We will not tolerate bad governance and looting of resources in the name of democracy. What’s happening to Jamshed Dasti is condemnable. The inhumane and barbaric acts of rulers show the mentality and caliber of rulers”, he added.
He further said that dual standards of justice, bad governance and corruption will destroy the country’s future. He vehemently condemned the actions of rulers and urged them to stop the political victimisation of Jamshed Dasti.
He told the rulers to act against corruption or face public anger.
He added that democracy is the best system of governance with no acceptable alternative and that corruption and bad governance cannot be accepted and justified in its name. Supreme Court of Pakistan will announce a historical verdict after JIT investigation, he said.
