Assistant professors at model academic institutions situated in the federal capital have been deprived of promotion despite fulfilling the criteria.
Assistant professors who are working in BPS-18 are waiting for promotion in next grades whereas some five seats are also lying vacant since December 2016. The Selection Board has not been set up yet to fill these slots.
The sources revealed that the summary of promotions has been sent to the Ministry of CADD and the list of eligible candidates on the basis of seniority cum fitness has been finalized.
Dr Zafar Iqbal, Aaftab Ahmed, Roshan Ali, Sanaullah and Ejaz Ahmed are on the top of seniority list.
