They played two Jadhavs to intimidate us: Sarfraz

BIRMINGHAM – Reacting to Pakistan’s 124-run defeat against India in the Champions Trophy contest at Edgbaston today, captain Sarfraz Ahmed accused the opponents of unfair play.

Talking to the media after the post-match conference Sarfraz said that the team management wasn’t informed that spies and terrorists could be selected in the playing 11.

“We were shocked once we saw the team sheets and we couldn’t focus on the match after that,” the Pakistan skipper told journalists. “We thought Jadhav was in jail at home, but India had two in the starting 11 today.”

The Jadhavs in question were Umesh Yadav who took three wickets in the contest, and Kedhar Jadhav who suspiciously neither batted nor bowled.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Champions Trophy match came in the backdrop of the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) stay order on self-confessed RAW spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s death sentence.

“We don’t like mixing politics with cricket, but playing two Jadhavs was clearly designed to intimidate us,” Sarfraz added. “Hey, we have RAW agents of our own as well. Had we known India would stoop so low, we would’ve played Ehsanullah Ehsan ahead of Imad Wasim.”

Meanwhile, sensational reports allege that Imad was an undercover spy himself.

“His original identity was discovered today as inspired by senior Indian agents Radhay Mohan and Anjali Sharma,” a Pakistani official told The Dependent.

Reacting to the update Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Executive Committee Najam Sethi pleased the cricket team’s performance despite Indian ploys.

“It’s important that we lose to them in ICC events, because if we start winning India won’t play us in these tournaments either,” he said.
