Rs100 million has been allocated in the budget for the fiscal year 2017-18 for shifting 32 government schools operating under federal directorate of education in federal capital to smart school system .
According to media reports, this decision was taken on the recommendation of Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and initially, Rs100 million has been allocated for this project in the budget for fiscal year 2017-18.
A committee comprising project director and other concerned authorities has also been set up in this regard which would start work on the project just after funds are received.
Under this project the education system of capital would be computerised so it would be associated with an online system.
Computers, laptops and tablets will be provided to all children studying in these schools and in this way, online education system will be introduced. Students will be imparted education through online system without the help of text books, copies and stationery.
