Police have arrested two accused of robbery of over Rs 24.7 million at a cash carrying van at Shahdara.
According to the victims, they were carrying Rs 24,742,410 in a van to their money exchange shop in Wazirabad. But as they reached a marriage hall they were ambushed by two unidentified persons intercepted the vehicle, looted the cash and valuables and fled the scene.
Police registered a case against them.
The accused were later arrested near Sabzi Mandi.
Police recovered the cash and other valuables from their possession.
He said that the identity of the suspects would be disclosed during a press conference in a day or two.
Meanwhile, Model Town CIA DSP Malik Dawood said that they had yet to arrest the culprits in the case of the murder of a cashier.
