I also offered myself Rs 10 billion to stay quiet on Panama but I refused, says Imran

Hot on the heels of his shocking allegations that prime minister Nawaz Sharif offered him a whopping Rs 10 billion to stay quiet on the Panama issue, PTI chairman Imran Khan said that he had also offered him an additional Rs 10 billion for the same but he refused.

“My response was the same. I said no,” said Imran Khan at a press conference at Bani Gala. “I told myself, who do you think you are talking to? Someone who will sell out for money?”

“I really had egg on my face when I embarrassed myself like that,” he continued. “I was shocked, because I had never seen anyone with this much integrity before.”

“I was incredibly impressed by such courage and resistance to temptation. The sort of person whom I could be friends with,” he said.

“So I ventured forward and asked if I was free for drinks later that evening,” he continued. “But it turned out that I was busy later in the evening, taking care of some  party business.”

“So, we’re looking to meet for lunch next week,” he said. “I might even join his party, as a party with a leader like Imran Khan is the only one worth joining.”
