Indian cricket team has paid a tribute to former skipper of archrival Pakistan’s national squad Shahid Afridi after his retirement.

The Indian squad signed national jersey of their Test skipper, Virat Kohli as a tribute to the Pakistani player with writing “Always a pleasure playing against you!!”

Afridi who recently joined Karachi Kings of Pakistan Super League as its president had announced his international cricket retirement in February this year.

Shahid Afridi has led Pakistan eleven in T20Is, ODIs and Tests during his career.

Pakistan and India have been archrivals in sports as well given the history between the two neighbouring states. The two teams clashed several times in the cricket history in series, as well as tournaments,  always to packed stadiums and televisions set up in streets on both sides.

However, after India refused to play Pakistan in a recent denial, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shehryar Khan announced to move to International Cricket Council against Board of Control for Cricket in India.
