Lady health workers staged a sit-in in demand of permanent contracts in front of the CO health and DC offices here on Sunday.
The lady health workers were protesting against the alleged dual policy of authorities in the issuance of permanent job orders. The protestors claimed that the authorities had sent permanent job orders to those employees who had allegedly bribed the authorities.
Talking to the media, a protestor said, “We are poor people. How can we bribe these officials? This injustice should be stopped.”
The protesters have demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Khanewal deputy commissioner to take notice of the matter.
