LAHORE: At least 10 people sustained injuries and had to receive treatment as a result of a brawl that broke out between two different student groups at the Punjab University on Tuesday (today).
According to reports, the incident occurred after some students disrupted the ongoing Pasthun culture day and set fire to the camps set-up for the event. Upon being alerted, the police force made their way to the university campus and used tear gas to disperse the students.
Talking to the media after the incident, university management said strict action would be taken against the perpetrators of the violence.
