British High Commissioner lauds CM Shehbaz on successful PSL final

British High Commissioner in Pakistan Drew Thomas called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif here today. Issues of mutual interest, advancement of Pak-Britain relations and collaboration in various fields were discussed in the meeting.

British High Commissioner, while congratulating the CM for holding PSL final successfully in Punjab, said the credit of organising the final match in a peaceful environment in Lahore goes to the exceptional abilities of Shehbaz Sharif. Also, the public depicted disciplined attitude and enthusiasm during the match, he added. He said the praiseworthy endeavours of the CM to raise the expectations for everyday comforts of the general population of Punjab is yielding great outcomes, as they have found a way to enhance well-being, education, expertise advancement and social sector. Additionally, he said, “We will proceed with support in these segments with the government.”

Shehbaz Sharif, while talking on this occasion, said that successful final match in such serene condition in Lahore was a rampant victory for Pakistan. He said that sacrifices of Pakistanis in the war against terrorism are undying, and all of them were standing together to tackle the scourge of terrorism. CM added that England and Pakistan were critical accomplices in the development and prosperity, and participation of the United Kingdom to enhance the fields of education, well-being, and expertise are exceptionally respected. Pakistan gives unique significance to PAK-UK relations and this thriving advancement will be helped in coming circumstances, he added.
