Sheikhupura: As many as 22 suspects, including 10 Afghan nationals, were apprehended during a joint search operation of police and Rangers in various areas of the city and recovered huge cache of weapons from their possession.
Sheikhupura District Police Officer (DPO) Sarfraz Khan Virk said that Rangers, security forces and police have conducted a joint operation in Narang Mandi, Farooqabad and Muridkay, and apprehended some 22 suspects, including 10 Afghan nationals, who were residing in Pakistan illegally since long, adding that cases have been registered against them under foreign act.
On the other hand, Farooqabad police have apprehended nine more suspects.
Sheikhupura police sources said that search operations against suspects have geared up across the district to bring the ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’ to its logical conclusion.
