KARACHI: Over 250 suspected persons including Afghans were rounded up during search operations in different areas of Karachi by the Police, Rangers and FIA.
The police conducted search operation, after receiving a tip-off, and raided a hotel located in Kardar area of Karachi on Wednesday which resulted in the arrests of five Afghan nationals including Hotel Owner Liaquat Agha.
Meanwhile, the police conducted raids in Site and Pakistan Bazaar, while taking custody of 26 and 10 suspected persons respectively.
Similarly, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-human Smuggling Cell personnel on Wednesday arrested 11 Afghans during a search operation in Pirabad area.
Meanwhile, police arrested five from Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan, three from Paposh Nagar, eight from Rizwia Colony, five from Nazimabad, two from New Karachi, four from Saudabad and 10 Afghans from Orangi Town respectively.
The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigations.
