Over 100 arrested over ‘anti-state’ activities on social media

In a detailed report issued by the authorities, it has been revealed that hundreds of people have been arrested over their alleged involvement in anti-state activities on social media.

It has also been revealed in the report that as many as 2617 links have been blocked in this regard, reported a private news publication.

Moreover, certain websites that were preaching ‘hatred and extremism’ were also blocked.

Sources revealed that a total of 13 accounts that were involved in anti-state activities had been operated from India.
