LAHORE – Thousands of Pakistanis arriving at the Allama Iqbal International Airport after being deported from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for being potential terrorists, are sharing stories of a spiritually fulfilling deportation.

Talking to The Dependent many shared their stories and acknowledged their privilege as the chosen few to have undergone a unique experience.

“Alhamdulillah words cannot describe the moment when those Arab cops came to my quarter pushed me out of the door. They were speaking such a beautiful language,” said Sikander Mehmood, who worked in a Jeddah factory. “And the notice beautifully transcribed in Arabic… I couldn’t help but kiss it over and over again, in reverence and devotion.”

“I’m truly blessed and I can’t thank the Almighty enough,” says Kashif Bhatti, a Riyadh based taxi driver. “This spiritual experience cannot be described in words. At least not in words of a language that I can speak or understand,” he added.

Shahzad Ahmed, a middle-aged accountant, however was outraged by how the entire episode was being managed.

“We should highlight this remarkable experience that Pakistanis have gone through and tell the world and this is how deportation is done. This is how the Ummah enables such a unique journey for its adherents,” he said. “With the Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiments around the world, the West can learn from Muslim brotherhood and especially Saudi Arabia.
