A decision has been taken to further expand the new Islamabad International Airport, which is being built on 4000 acres of land in Fateh Jang area.
The demarcation of land adjacent to Fateh Jang Airport has been started under future planning, which is likely to be completed in next few days. The future planning also includes acquiring more land for the airport.
The stakeholder which would be participating in the demarcation process are Civil Aviation Authority, Revenue Department and Rawalpindi Development Authority. The joint team would submit its report that how much more area is required to be acquired for the airport expansion.
