The Pakistan Railways have achieved the target of selling e-tickets worth Rs 100 million.
According to a Pakistan Railway spokesman, 8500 e-tickets were sold through different means including credit cards and mobile accounts.
At present Pakistan Railways is rendering the service of e-ticketing in t24 trains in 51 cities.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique extended congratulations to the employees and described this achievement as a beginning of a new era of modernisation and development.
In a message, he advised the IT wing of the Pakistan Railways to start the facility of e-ticketing in Jaffer express, Bolan Mail and Akbar Express to facilitate the people of Balochistan.
