Amid ongoing India-Pakistan tension, the trailer of the much-anticipated Shah Rukh and Mahira Khan starrer Raees is finally out and it has genius written all over it. Not only that, Mahira Khan in all her glory making Pakistan proud once again.
The trailer gives Mahira ample screen time and as an Indian journalist aptly stated she’s the “surprise package.” A romantic scene in the trailer between Mahira and King Khan may need to be watched again and again to make her Pakistani fans believe this is really happening.
The actor is playing the role of SRK’s love interest in the Rahul Dholakia directorial which marks her Bollywood debut while King Khan is playing the role of a Gujarati bootlegger, Raees Alam.
The two-minute 46-second long trailer is packed with action and shows SRK in a never-seen-before avatar as he breaks away from his usual romantic roles. SRK’s action scenes will leave you on the edge of your seat and want for more.
Looking like a true gangster in a refreshing change from his romantic avatars, the King of Bollywood displays immense energy as he takes on opponents in the trailer.
It also shows a glimpse of Sunny Leone towards the end. Leone is reportedly doing an item song in the movie, which will be a reprise of the popular ’80s song Laila O Laila.
On Tuesday, SRK shared a new poster of the film leaving fans in frenzy. The poster unveiled SRK’s gangster look with kohl-rimmed eyes and combed hair.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is scheduled to release on January 26 next year. The film also features Raman Raghav 2.0 star Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a supporting role.
