Sindh Minister for Social Welfare Shamim Mumtaz has taken notice of media reports regarding police raid at Darul Aman in Sukkur, and forcible discharging 42 women from there.
Shamim Mumtaz on Thursday condemned the police action, saying it had been carried out without court orders.
She constituted a three member committee headed by Secretary Social Welfare Department Dr Shireen Mustafa to probe into the issue.
The Provincial Minister directed Secretary Social Welfare to visit Dar-Aman Sukkur and submit report of the matter within three days.
