A plastic factory caught fire in the Sher Shah area of the city on Wednesday.
The fire brigade managed to control the situation by using three fire tenders. No loss of life was reported and the financial losses were being assessed.
Separately, a commercial building caught fire at Paposh Nagar, Saarafa Market area. Two fire-tenders rushed to the scene and controlled the fire.
Goods and equipment kept in the shops were burnt, but no casualties were reported.
