Three masked gunmen burst into the sprawling academy in the south-west, pretending to be soldiers as they targeted sleeping quarters home to some 700 recruits, in a strike that sent terrified young men fleeing.

A morgue list seen by a foreign media agency detailed 61 people killed in the attack, while 118 were injured, according to a government spokesman.

While a day of mourning was being observed in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the officers of Sindh police and politicians were seemingly quite unmoved by the brutal Quetta

The officers and politicians displayed an insensitive way of expressing solidarity with the martyrs by enjoying a musical night held in US Consulate located in Karachi.

A ceremony of Daniel Pearl World Music Day was conducted and was attended by higher officers of Sindh police and prominent politicians.
