The illegally constructed offices of People’s Aman Committee are to be demolished by the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in different areas of Karachi.
According to details, information about the illegal offices of the Lyari-based group has been collected.
The offices are constructed in Lyari, Yousuf Goth, Malir, Old Golimar, Mawach Goth, Gulbahar, Ilyas Goth, Alfalah road, Singo Lane, Sarbazi Mohalla, Saeedabad and Ali Muhammad.
Sindh government had declared People’s Aman Committee a banned organisation in 2011 under Clause (11/B) of Anti-terrorism Act 1997.
The committee had been barred from pursuing any political/social activities at all.
Also, authorities concerned have demolished over 100 illegal offices of MQM in Karachi and also in the interior Sindh. One Pakistan People’s Party office was also razed in the drive against unlawful constructions.
