A man killed two women, Sunbul, aged 30 and Sadaf, aged 35, with a sharp-edged weapon in Orangi area of the metropolis on Monday.
Police arrested the alleged killer and his female accomplice Faheema from the murder scene. Police said that the dual murder is the result of refusal of the family of slain women to accept a marriage proposal of the accused.
Police said that the alleged criminal confessed the crime and recorded his statement. Police said that accused Anees confessed that he had asked hand in marriage of Faheema, younger sister of Sunbul, but the family rejected his proposal. As a result they made a plan to kill them.
