ATC sends 11 MQM workers on 3-day police remand

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday sent 11 Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers on a 3-day police remand, they include Qamar Mansoor, Kanwar Naveed, and Shahid Pasha were presented in the ATC, while Dr Amir Liaquat will be presented before ATC after a short while.

Meanwhile, MQM leader Farooq Sattar is holding an important press conference today.

The ATC had issued a non-bailable warrant arrest Farooq Sattar earlier today.

Earlier, Farooq Sattar and Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hasan were taken into custody by the Rangers on Monday night at Karachi Press Club after suspected MQM workers attacked an ARY News office in the Saddar area of the metropolis. One person was killed and several others injured as police clashed with the angry mob. MQM leader Dr Amir Liaquat was also taken into custody from his office on I.I. Chundrigar Road.
