A child kidnapper was caught red-handed by a family on Thursday when he tried to abduct a sleeping child from the house located in Iqbal Town area of Gujranwala.
The family woke up during the abducting bid and took hold of the kidnapper. The police identified the kidnapper as Naveed and shifted him to the police station for further interrogation.
He tried to flee the scene but a large number of people gathered around the house and did not let him escape.
He was handed over to the police after being thrashed by the residents.
The residents said that their children have stopped going out due to the fear of the kidnappers. Therefore, stern action should be taken against them.
